Use cases

When businesses come to us.

The company treasury lives on a founder's device

One phone, one seed phrase, one person — that's key-person risk your investors can see. GCE puts the treasury under roles and maker-checker approvals.

Your auditors flagged self-custody

Year-end goes smoother when balances come from custodian statements instead of wallet screenshots. Reporting is built into the workspace.

Your business collects payments in digital assets

Operational wallets with limits, screening quotas and automated gas refuelling — collections keep moving without a developer on standby.

You're preparing a licence application

Regulators ask how assets are held. "With a Registered Digital Asset Custodian" is a one-line answer that keeps the application moving.

Maker–checker in action

No transaction moves on one pair of hands.

One teammate initiates, your quorum approves, custody executes — enforced by the policy engine, not by trust.

A transaction is initiated by one team member, requires a configurable quorum of approvers — two of three in this example — and only then executes into custody. No transaction moves on one pair of hands.

Speed to launch

From signing to live operations in about a month.

The security infrastructure, policy engine and compliance tooling already exist — onboarding is configuration, not construction.

  1. Scope & sign week 1
We map your wallets, flows and approval structure to the platform.
  2. Configure weeks 2–3
Roles, limits, whitelists and maker-checker chains set up to your policy.
  3. Migrate & test weeks 3–4
Assets move in under dual control; your team rehearses the real workflows.
  4. Go live from week 4
Operations run on GCE with monitoring and support behind them.
Platform capabilities

What the custody workspace ships with.

The same workspace any business runs on — every control below comes standard with the subscription.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

An additional layer of authentication protecting every account beyond passwords.

Role-based access control (RBAC)

Wallet operations and permissions scoped to each user's role and responsibilities.

IP address whitelisting

Platform and API access restricted to approved IP addresses only.

Transaction quorum approval

Configurable multi-approver authorisation before high-value or sensitive transactions execute.

Every control above runs on the same MPC + cold-storage rails — see the full security architecture.

Common questions

Questions we hear a lot.

What does the subscription cover?

The base subscription covers the custody workspace: wallet infrastructure, policy controls, compliance tooling and standard support. Integration work and unusual asset requirements are scoped separately.

Can we migrate from self-custody?

Yes — migration under dual control is part of onboarding. Most teams move wallet by wallet, rehearsing approvals on small balances before moving the treasury.

When would we need GCI instead?

Any business can run on GCE — it's our standard custody platform, on the same MPC rails and regulatory reporting as everything we offer. GamBit Custody Institution (GCI) is for organisations custodying larger AUM that need deep integration into their own systems — typically banks and large corporates — with white-labelling and bespoke arrangements scoped to fit. Moving up extends what you already have rather than re-platforming.

Which assets are supported?

Major digital assets, with the list expanding based on client demand. Confirm your specific requirements with us during scoping.

What are the contract terms?

Monthly subscription with an initial term agreed at signing. We will walk you through the standard agreement on the first call.
